This website was created by Directional Drilling Challenge OÜ (aka DDChallenge Ltd), which was founded in 2014 as an Estonian private limited company (Osaühing). The company specializes in online training for directional drillers, as well as directional drilling hardware and software to support rig site specialists.
Alexie Pertsev
CEO & Founder
Alexie graduated from Ufa State Petroleum University in 1982.
He spent 13 years working as a research engineer, directional driller (DD), drilling enginer,
and programmer in Siberia. Over the next 35+ years, mainly in West Africa with Schlumberger,
he returned to DD, gaining extensive experience across regions.
His solid background provides him with a deep understanding of everything in directional drilling — from
tools to software — enabling him to see solutions that make drilling simpler and more efficient.
